So I take it that this is the cheapest entry level Android phone?

So I take it that this is the cheapest entry level Android phone?

Galaxy Pocket is R900. Wonder how it compares. IMO, Pocket is great value although typing is an art with the small keyboard.

Not too shabby for entry, entry level smartphone, especially for teenagers.

It's Android 4.1 which i good to run Onavo Extend and upcoming BBM.

At R799 could be worthwile value as Wifi hotspot router, compared to the retail pricing of Vodafone R205 / R206 mini routers, this can do much more, including use as GPS etc etc

Can anyone who has bought the Vodafone Smart Mini please comment on their experience?

What are the pros/cons?

I am very interested in buying one for myself...

This is a very good price for the specs. Basically the same as the Galaxy Ace.

Been to a few vodacom shops and they have no idea what I'm talking about.

Hi All,
Did anybody buy this phone?
I bought this phone this afternoon and it works well with vodacom sim.
But it is not working with cell c SIM. I am getting "Unfortunatley com.android.phone stopped" error as soon as I boot the phone with cell c SIM.

Does this mean this phone is network locked?

Any ideas?

Thanks for the response.
If the phone is locked then shouldn't it say that the SIM is not supported.
It does not say that but throws an android error.
And second question. Is it legal to lock a phone to network in SA?
Spend your fifty bucks and get an unlock code?

And no, they aren't scams. And yes, if you have doubts, go to XDA and ask.
