i'm sick and tired of vodaphones dodgy software in the sony ericssons they can never get it right Why is it forced upon Us One pays a ridiculous amount to get the phone from vodacom then have too be forced too use their lousy software with their silly shortcuts and vlive service which is totally useless .
i had a sonyericsson k800 which came with vodaphone software i lost important numbers that i had not saved because the phone would erase the dialled numbers it would also erase alot of my saved dictionary words when my sms got over 600 my applications would run out of memory when i had too many mms's i had the phone debranded solved all my problems
my friend sony ericsson k850 freezing crashing white screen of death
got it debranded now not a problem
now i have got a c905 paying an arm n a leg :mad:for the gps does not work http://forum.vodafone.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=9958 it cannot keep 3g hsdpa signal all my applications that require a data connection cannot work properly because of this so now i wonder why o why is there no option too have your phone debranded
why do we have too get with this buggy software dont these people test their stuff

I agree 100%. On the C902, their #$%^&#%&@ Vlive button is right next to the "cancel call" button, which causes one to mistakenly open Vlive way way too easily. It's driving me nuts.

I wouldn't complain if the option were placed somewhere under a 'surfing' menu and not on my basic buttons!

Can agree with you guys.

Vodafone-branded LG KS360... wish I can get rid of that kark...

and... that horrible meerkat as well... *gibber*

I went to Vodaworld in Midrand yesterday, to enquire about reconfiguring the "Vlive" function.

First stop: SE's shop. The shop's closed, possibly for renovations. I found a lady sitting in the Vodashop with a briefcase full of SE phones and zero knowledge of the phones themselves. She didn't even have a C902 for demonstration. I asked her whether it's possible to move the Vlive function to another button. After 5 minutes of blank looks and pushing various buttons, I left.

Then I tried approaching the service center, but the supervisor-guy practically shouted at me that they would NEVER break their licensing (with Vodafone I assume). So it seems that we have no recourse here. VC gets to stick crap marketing software on people's phones, which turns the usage into a frustrating experience and that's that.

I should've ported to MTN!

I feel for you guys.

On saturday, I felt like bombing/burning down/shooting everyone at the Fourways Mall Vodashop.

They are all useless. They didn't even know the Accounts Dept. number.

Soon. Soon I will be away from them.

:D

and also good question.. one guy is asking.... How do you remove the vodafone software to debrand your phone to the default software that comes with the phone?

Usually involves changing the phones product code, then running the normal firmware update supplied by the manufacturer.

Google it for your particular brand.

Vodacom will not do this if the phone works under normal use. If the Vodafone garbage causes the phone to freeze or malfunction, then they'll remove it. Bunch of wallies

Yip.

"I spit on them. Their mothers are hamsters."

/ Ok it was an adaptation of Monty Pythons quest for the holy grail..

But still, it seemed funny.
