Vox is pretty well known for its VOIP solutions. Any other companies that also provide competitive pricing and good services ?

I'm inclinded to go with VOX unless there's something better.

thanks

Are you looking to make Local calls or international.
let me know - i can give you a few solutions.

We are paying about R21K p/m on cell and tel calls. R31K in total including line rentals. Normal telkom lines.
We are just looking for a solution to reduce our telephone costs as much as possible.

I phoned two companies, one is VOX. Nobody got back to me

You should contact Wanatel (http://www.wanatel.co.za.
They are maybe not the cheaper but they can develop customized PBX solutions.

We installed a full solution, including an Internet Wireless link + IP-PBX + Telkom gateways + IP-Phones for 35 uses for ~ 40k. And they even setup a IVR and a billing solution.

Our company is about to spend around R140 k on a voip sollution. I think from Samsung

Who is a good option for small home/business users?

Depending on your requirements, infrastructure and application there are quite a few options regarding VOIP. First you need to define which VOIP service your looking for. I assume your looking at VOIP breakout services, which is the ability to make calls in and out via a data link rather than fixed line provider or premi-cell.

To be honest there are a ton of low cost VOIP service providers, however the challenge is finding a vendor that will provide a solution that includes a data links, QOS and good rates. Many providers have great rates, however their data links are outsource (which means they have no control over the traffic) and they cant guarantee any quality of service, nor do they offer you any kind of service level agreement which states they'll make sure your able to make calls all the time.

If your a home users, then VOIP over services such as ADSL can be acceptable. However if your looking at a true business application then you need to look at your data link, contention, sla on uptimes etc. PM and we can talk about your exact requirements. :)

Hi Guys

DOW Networks offers both Local, Mobile and International break out. We are flexible in building solutions for companies who have VoIP solutions (PABX) and for companies who don't have any type of VoIP running. you can give me a call on 011 4616435 or mail me on [email protected]

We will come to your office and do a full report on your infrastructure what quote you on the right solution for your needs.

Where do you see that? According to your link, the previous rates still apply.

In case you're getting confused "calls to ISPs" means calls to dial-up internet access lines on Telkom ISDN PRI's. This is not the same as "calls to other licensed operators."
