VoipRaider users give advice please

Still can't figure out why some people have a credit card payment option. A friend used a Betamax service for the first time using Rynga.com. She had VISA as a payment option the first time she bought credit??? She bought 10Euro for R120, virtually no mark-up! I Still don't have credit card options.

It may be IP Address related how they determine if you've bought from them before and therefor whether to allow credit cards. My friend is on Vodacom 3G. Perhaps Vodacom customers are more prolific Betamax users, and someone had bought credit before from the same IP Address she was now using. I tend to use Mweb ADSL or Virgin mobile to go online. Can't think of another reason.

Guess I have to stick to resellers.

Russian Roulette... I commend your bravery though I would change your credit card just to be on the safe side.

But seriously, did it use 'verified by visa' or '3D Secure'?

Maybe I sound paranoid but I have a friend that works for a payment company in UK and he tells me the rule is 'If in doubt, DON'T".

I now use Betamax.co.za. I make a bank transfer FNB to FNB account and often in the time it takes me logout of my online banking and refresh the product's account page it's there. I see it's now R136 for 10 Euro.

LiqPay.com are a Ukrainian website, so there could be a bit of roulette involved. I only gave my card details to them as they use the Mastercard Secure Code, security system.

Betamax.co.za rates look quite good. I'll consider them next time, though I'm not with FNB so online payment will only go through overnight if I pay before 3pm. Otherwise I must find an open FNB branch and take cash.

I just calculated the rates R136 on an exchange rate of R11.21 to the Euro is a 21% mark-up.:(

I only got 45 freedays with my $5 voucher. I will query that. I've also notified the website of the error when buying the $10 voucher that one can only buy 4 at a time. But instead of the voucher one can anyway buy $10 credit for $11. Only 11c more than the voucher, so hardly an issue.

I looked into the 45 Freedays, Voipraider fAQ says "Buying credits entitles you to 90 Freedays (unless stated otherwise)." Resellers state 90 Freedays for $10 (or more) 45 freedays for $5.

I Got a reply from voipkredi.com support. They have already corrected the error on the webpage when having to buy at least 4 vouchers for Voipraider credit.

$10 is $10.89
They also confirmed that VoiPRaider give 90 freedays for a purchase of at least $10 and 45 freedays for $5.

I'm having more confidence in them with their support and low margins. Still waiting for my credit card payment option to appear.

Yes. I thought the same till I calculated the 'actual cost' of the transaction by credit card. I'm with the FNB but I guess all banks are the same. In the end the markup wasn't so bad for cash.
