VoipRaider users give advice please

When you log into the VoipRaider account page, does Paypal still show there?

There were a whole lot of options, Paypal, Visa, Moneybookers etc, I just chose Paypal and it worked perfectly. They had to verify my number by sms first though.

Only 4 options show up for me:
Direct Bank Transfer
UKash
Western Union
Resellers

It is possible to pay using Paypal, if it doesn't appear on the account page?

I don't think so, I just checked my account and I have 10 options showing, including Paypal.

Anyone able to buy credit for VOIPRaider at the moment?

Edit: seems I can only buy via resellers, and there are none for VOIPRaider. I created a 12voip.com account, and bought from one of the resellers listed. Betamax is making giving them money more and more difficult!

Working fine at the moment.
Just bought credit 2 days ago by credit card and it was showing a dozen different payment options.

Buying without credit card

If you haven't a credit card or you're just not comfortable using it online then you can make cash deposit and your account gets credited in about 90 mins (or you can make an EFT.)

The only Betamax product you cannot credit is VoipRaider as it is in dollars not euros. However 12voip is basically the same, maybe better.

Thanks for the update, this is good news for SA customers! I am also very impressed with the 12voip service.

try www.betamaxcredit.com works out cheaper than the local resellers to buy credit. I'll try it on my next top-up. Bearing in mind that this is a bit of a revived thread, some people have said that Paypal options appear only after buying one's first credit. That never happened to me. Those who have extra payment options like Paypal/credit card, did those only appear after a certain amount of time? UKash won't work because you can't convert it to another currency.

there are so many companies offering cheaper rates then voipraider and better quality + you can pay local.
Check out -
www.bopcall.com
www.globalchat.co.za
www.talk4less.co.za

Bopcall, for my purposes is 6 - 8 times more expensive than 12voip.com
globalchat & talk4less are nice for local purposes. Thanks for those. I tend to use phone-to-phone services to make international calls. Works out very cheap on the betamax voip providers like 12voip & voipraider.

buy Credit by Cash or EFT

$10 for $10.89

looks quite cheap. Don't know safety of the website though. Any takers? Started trying to buy, saw I had to take 4 in my cart.

Credit Cards and Russian websites...... I would not risk it as I have read too many reports that start with "The purchase went through fine but then a few days later........" :(

VoIP has one of the highest credit card fraud levels on the net, for both sellers and buyers. :erm:

I use BETAMAX.CO.ZA. When I started using them their service sucked but now it's amazing and they're even starting soon with live support. I use FNB Online Banking. From clicking 'Pay Recipient' to receiving the credit on my account is about 5 minutes. :D

I did it. I bought a $5 VoipRaider voucher for $5.46. The website has Turkish, English or Russian versions. The payment system I chose was LiqPay. There was a slight delay with the credit card verification on LiqPay but they use an sms system to send you a once off code and then another sms to confirm the payment had gone through. I liked that. After which the voucher was emailed to me.

There are two options on the website:

You can either buy vouchers or credit. Their mark-up is about 10% which is half what other resellers are charging. (www.Hanstel.biz charges 20% mark-up.)
Buying vouchers appears to be a few cents cheaper than the credit option. which I did. But the credit option looks easy to follow with a nice interface. One can however buy multiple vouchers at marginally better rates.

I only got 45 freedays with my $5 voucher. I will query that. I've also notified the website of the error when buying the $10 voucher that one can only buy 4 at a time. But instead of the voucher one can anyway buy $10 credit for $11. Only 11c more than the voucher, so hardly an issue.

I looked into the 45 Freedays, Voipraider fAQ says "Buying credits entitles you to 90 Freedays (unless stated otherwise)." Resellers state 90 Freedays for $10 (or more) 45 freedays for $5.
