It does dethrone the RS3 .... I think that video is about 3 or 4 car lengths ahead. I don't think there's a single hot hatch that is quicker than the Volvo .... 1M, RS3, Subaru Cosworth (close though!), Focus RS500 etc

The sad thing is costs more than the Audi - and there's only a 500 run ... of which none will come to SA I guess :/

Overpriced and a limited run? Sounds like a half assed attempt just to claim a title. At least you'll get to see an RS3 in your lifetime!

Look - I really like the Volvo, but I'm aware it won't be available here. My next hot hatch would be the RS3 purely because of the speed etc ... but it is showing it's age :/

Looks awesome, easy to spot an RS3 over a normal A3/S3.

One looks great, the other looks like a fish gasping for air.
Also, one has the added benefit of a V8 sound, the other still sounds like a ford focus.
IMO it's an easy call given that both have the same amount of power but a huge difference in looks & style.

Power does equal speed, the RS is almost 2 seconds faster.
