I've got software and a larger intercoolwe from Evolve (now Elevate). I'm 151kw and 360nm at the wheels. Without software,1/4 mile was 15.2 sec and trap speed of 152km/h. It's quicker than both a standard Focus ST and GTI5 on pull off and the gap gets larger as the speed gets higher.

While being in the same league as them on pull off may not sound like much, the car doesn't have the same 'boy racer' gear ratios as the hot hatches which is made for speed - as well as being heavier and having larger wheels which hamper acceleration too

From 2nd gear a Subaru Impreza WRX doesn't get past me - which for the time being is decent enough. I don't want to go DP or exhaust yet and void the warranty.
 
Sounds like a bunch of excuses, 19s don't make a big difference.
And your 1/4 mile time is shocking.
Get the best VAG software available, your excuses will be less, your car will run smoother and you will have a much better 1/4mile time ;)

Try reading my posts from the start. Always mentioned the S5, A5 is not in the same league.

I'm a fan of the A5/S5 but the RS3 is not ugly.

Lol I'm used to people that make excuses, heard it all tbh, anything from altitude to bigger wheels to the sub woofer in the boot.
And run a better time, 15.2 is laughable when S3s/Gti with similar mods are doing low to mid 13s.

Um.

A C30 T5 is more like a GTI/Focus ST - both which have 1/4 miles between 14.8 - 15.3 as standard. Where does the Quattro S3 come into the equation?

Take a GTI/Focus ST - add 200KG weight and add longer gear ration - and it'll be slower.

Logic fail?
 
I agree with Dolby, you're not going to get 13s on an ST, T5, or a gti5 without some serious mods. Low 14s is much more likely when looking at software, downpipe & exhaust

And thats an ed 28, the ed 30 BWA is a tiny bit quicker.
Dolby has software and intercooler, just a bad setup in my opinion, with better software he will get a better time, even without a DP(which is about 2 - 5kw).

Next up, altitude and conditions excuse...
