Voting?

Now that I think about it, will it actually stand up in constitutional court if you were to challenge the changing of parliamentary members during a term?

You can say that one may loose some integrity for making a small attempt to unseat a clearly corrupt party by voting for another one but you have sold your soul for doing absolutely nothing and ensuring they stay in power....

How does not voting = doing absolutely nothing?
Although, I suppose that if all you do is vote and then handover all responsibility for the well being of this country to the government, then not voting might be the same as doing nothing.

I didn't say I know everything about you. I said I know enough about you. ;)
The fact that you don't vote gives me a certain perspective on what type of person you are.
And that's pretty much all I want to know about you.

I've voted in every election since 1994. I've stated I will not be voting in the next election as a form of protest. I hope others who are disillusioned will do the same.

LMAO! Politicians all over the world must be having sleepless nights because of your protest

I guess as much as ANC politicians are having sleepless nights knowing that RVO is voting for the DA?

So, all I am getting is a bunch of people that won't vote because none of the parties stands for anything they believe in?

Well, let me put it this way: Is the ANC doing anything remotely close to what you believe in?

If the answer is 'no', then you need to at least make an effort to stop them running willy-nilly all over this country by voting for the opposition, regardless of whether they stand for anything you believe in. The point is to at least have some resistance in this one-party state, and voting for the smallest party that might not even win a seat, is exactly the same as not voting.

Whether you see legitimacy in the system, or not, the only way to change it is through effective opposition.

Can you imagine what the ANC would be getting away with if they had all the votes, and no opposition at all?

ANC is by far the best party to vote for.

I don't want to be called "refugee" in my country.

ANC has the best policies of the lot but they are currently rotten at the top - corrupt and incompetent.
The day Mbeki was ousted in what amounts to an internal coup was the day they lost all credibility, imo

The ANC made them into refugees. That's what they are. People who are fleeing a bad situation thanks to the corrupt cANCer party.
And eventually you will be one too if you keep voting for them. ;)
(or not voting at all)

Excellent finally confirmation that you are doing nothing for the country/world

:erm: I was talking about you since you were the one who equated not voting with doing absolutely nothing, not me.

... or take anything he says seriously. You are either a force for change or a meaningless nobody.

And the only forces of change are those that vote in elections with no possible positive outcome... right, ok.
Look at the biggest changes that have happened in the world - none of them were through voting for anyone.
All were through protest of some form or another
