Vox pure dsl

Yep. I used to have VDSL, a year or two ago. 20 Mbit, was great. Went to a wisp, not altogether happy. Now trying out naked ADSL.
You can definitely go on VDSL. You just need to get hold of someone competent at Vox with Pure/naked DSL. Good luck.....

I didn't read the thread, so forgive me if I've missed info or if what I'm saying has been covered.

I used to have Vox Fat Pipe at a really cheap price, 150 odd for 400GB a month (capped account) it initially started out as a 200GB account, also capped.

The capped account was of my choice. That way I could hold them accountable for shite speeds. Then they eventually had the unused data rollover for 6 months or something. I was eventually stuck with 2TB of unused data. Then I moved and no ADSL available.

Never had speed issues. Signed up for Afrihost free 1GB account to compare and Vox beat them.

VOX is a great company when it comes to ADSL in my opinion.

Exactly my experience - Vox trumps Afrihost, down this part of the world anyway. I also had the 400gb fatpipe @ R168 pm and had 2TB of rolled over data. I'm so pi$$ed with myself for giving that up now!

Just got my login details from Vox. 5 minutes of browsing on a Vox account reminded me just how much better it was than: Rain 4G, Herotel wisp, telkomsa and Vodacom 4G - all of which I've been forced to use over the course of the last year. So happy to be back on a solid wired connection.

Yep, Vox first, Webafrica second (even with their poor customer service complaints), then Axxess, then everyone else.
I am by no means a power user but anyway I used about 160gb for August on this 4mbps package. My highest usage for a single day was 22gb.
I think that alone shows that this service is well worth it, and they don't shape you at all.
I have recommended the service to at least 5 friends, but I suggested they take the 10meg package where they have 3 or more users at home because the 1mbps upload won't be as much of a bottleneck as the 0.36mbps on mine.
