Has anybody applied for it yet? How long is the waiting process for activation?
 
I cant get fibre yet my erea is covered, body corporate refuses to allow trenching in the complex and fixed lte is also costly. It's all I have available rain is even worse under 1mb
 
Any news on how long it takes to get this product activated? I cancelled my normal adsl and voice line and placed my order on vox's site. I'm just curious how long it takes and what the setup/installation entails.
 
I was hoping I wouldn't get an answer like that.. I sent vox an email asking for this information beginning of last week and I still haven't received a reply. I hope Im not going to regret this move.
 
They keep telling me the provider cant find my address, so I sent screen shots from openserve and telkom sites also sent location from google maps, but been abit of a struggle...
 
Technician came today to activate the new line however Vox didn't provide the login credentials. Technician say's those details should already be provided so he can set it up but every department in Vox tells me that Openserve needs to say the line has been activated first. Back and forth to no avail. So sitting with new line all ready just waiting...

What a mess! On which date did you submit your application?
 
Got this from VOX this morning after applying for pure DSL almost 2 weeks ago, there is dsl in the area, there is a 20m vdsl line going to a business on the same premises.

I Trust you well and keeping safe.
Kindly be advised that the request for Vox Uncapped Pure DSL on the below address, is not feasible as there is no DSL Pure connect solution available.
Should you require an alternative solution, Please advise in order for us arrange one of our consultants to contact you.
 
@Rohan I guess that you have decided today that the owner of the business on the premises will henceforth be your best friend, right? Like your very, very best friend?

I didnt order from Vox but went for Afrihost since I like their router options more than the other companies.

I have the same worries, I placed an order with Afrihost and although they are attending to all my questions and concerns it feels like the same case as in the past Afrihost will point fingers to Openserve once I start complaining no installation has been done within the 14 day time frame as stated by their website and then Openserve doesn't provide any feedback from their website after I've sent them the order number etc.

I really hope this wasn't a mistake!
Luckily I have not cancelled my LTE yet as I was afraid my move might be a wrong one.
 
I'm currently with Afrihost, but I've cancelled my line to apply for the pure adsl with vox. Thought I'd try the cheaper option.
The thing is, the service I got from Afrihost has been great, when I log a support ticket I at least get a response soon afterward.
Now I have emailed vox a few times for information, and I have not received any response so far. That worries me. Hope I didn't leave good service and support for bad..
 
Oh boy ... well you can still un-cancel with Afrihost before the 22nd, if I recall correctly.
And advice here, @cavedog ? (Hopefully @hennie71 sees your reply before he will be without Internet access for weeks upon weeks upon weeks - who knows?)
 
I'm in Durban, still have not received the login details. Apparently they are waiting for confirmation from Openserve that the line has been activated in which case the technician has already stated he has done on Wednesday. Everybody seems pretty confused.
