I know its a known fact throughout the forum that Vox is one of the worst when it comes to support, but dammit ho bad can one get?

This morning I opened a live chat with them gave them all my details, name, e-mail, number, back up number etc. The chat was about fiber at our premises, gave the guy an address he said sorry they do not have fiber there, I then had to point out that there is in fact fiber and it is live according to their website.

He then said oh yea he was looking at the wrong screen so he will get the enterprise people to mail me, I gave him my E-mail, phone number everything again.

Waits for hours, nothing, opened a chat with them now with a Jonathan Carstens the guy is not able to retrieve any record of this mornings conversation they have no log/note/lead nothing using the details I provided which is ridiculous I mean how bad can your CRM training be?

So yea if this is how it starts off with Vox then I have serious doubts about whether they are the right choice.

Mailing SADV now see if they can offer something here.

I emailed vox to ask about their offerings.
I instantly receive an automated email informing me that my ticket is logged.
Over a week later I get an email back from them informing me that they are closing my ticket as they cannot get hold of me.
The only contact detail they had was the email they just used which was clearly working. I then asked them to email the address they just used.
They respond with answers to half my questions the other half they say depends on various factors (e.g fibre provider) even though I included the factors in my original email.
At that point I gave up and went with another ISP.

Problem here is not VOX, but their employees who are uninterested in their work. This problem gets exasperated by our labour laws which protect these idiots, so firing them is next to impossible.

This is usually the case @ 70% of all SA businesses.

AFAIK rocketnet hasn't deployed in Cape Town yet?

I think they piggy on DFA since I see SADV in that url, if they are open access then they have a office building as a client.

SADV piggy off DFA as they are partially owned by DFA, ISP's then pickup SADV at Teraco.

Is it only OpenServe that allows you to use any ISP of your choice?

Everyone I seem to inquire when it comes to DFA/SADV is that you are locked in with a specific ISP.

I am all new to fiber so will need some guidance.

You can use any ISP on their network, it's up to the ISP to offer services on SADV, not them limiting ISPs in using it.
