Vox Telecom Fatpipe

How's everybody's Fat Pipe doing? Seems ok to me recently, but as it's a test account I've only been using it sporadically.

Feedback? I still can't decide if I want to switch to Vox permanently or not :confused:

Mine does really well in JHB. Seems that the CPT guys have most of the problems.

Based on my experience in PE, I am signing up for one of their capped offerings.
 
Since last Monday/Tuesday it has been fixed and is rock solid again.

(Issues usually include websites timing out and streaming not working).

It's an excellent capped account when it's trouble free. This weekend and most of November was bliss.

I really cannot fault it and reversed my cancellation - decided to stick with VOX.

So far it's the only capped offering I've used that does everything I want it to, fast.

CW, Afrihost, Web Africa, etc. all fail with streaming.

Vox does not, imo.

By fail I mean only stream certain sites and even then not at HD.
I didn't get a 20Mb account to stream on Medium settings.

CT still has intermittent problems in the early evening - I'm still fairly happy with it.

Thanks for the feedback guys, I've just gotten home to fiddle around with my account again, but it seems like I can't load mybroadband.co.za :cry:

Back on Afrihost for now - I thought this issue had been resolved!

This is why I'm not using mine at the moment - intermittent mybb issues and random capping.

I'm keeping my account as I'm of the lucky few that has bolt-on as well.

I'm up to 90GB :D, maybe next year things will be better :)
 
I'm still having issues on vox fatpipe for the last 3 weeks, I just did a speed test on my 4MB line and getting max 1.4mps.
Hulu buffering on higher res but plays fine when i set quality to 1MB.

I have logged a call with them today.

Vox used to be awesome compared to my telkom account, i also have to mention i'm on the samsung 1TB account. dont know if their rules have changed on this account?

I sent Voxy a pm last week with no reply.
 
Constant Problems with hetzner hosted sites

I just switched to my capped afrihost account, syncing above 3mbps

so fair to say something wrong on my vox account

I don't why but the last few weeks I have constant problems reaching hetzner hosted sites with my fatpipe account. I don't even bother to phone them, because they always blame my line. Most other stuff I have no problems with.

+- Month ago I had issues with speed + ping on Vox, complained and it was fixed almost immediately.

+- 2 Weeks the same problems came back, this time Vox says it's not them it's my line. Fair enough, I decide to swap to another ISP to check. Nope, on other ISP perfect speed and ping. Call centre is either useless, or unwilling to help.

"It's your telkom line at fault" Seems to be the response if they don't want to deal with the issue.

Useless & Unwilling to help! Have logged numerous calls with NO response ever. Did live chat once ******* told me he will get back to me kept me waiting online for 1h15m. Then he says he will phone me in 20 min it never happened, bloody baboon.
 
It's the 1st of the month so I hope everyone is ready to be capped again like I am... with 780GB left.
