Vox Telecom Fatpipe

Same here, PSN downloads are terrible. Sync is fine though, so it's likely not Telkom.
 
My downloads (HTTP) were stuck on 200kb/s on Saturday on a 20mb line, switched to Afrihost and got full line speed. Something strange is going on and it makes me sad. I really hate switching ISP's all the time.
 
international gaming is practically impossible the last few days...world of warcraft ping is atrocious.

swap to afrihost temporary account....ping back to normal...

please tell me its my line???
 
Cape town Vox is vertualy unusable for me this morning.
Websites loading in low rez mode, video refusing to start and some sites not loading at all.

Switched to Telkom Internet account and all is well again.

What day do we have to cancel by or is it a full calendar month notice?

I think it is time to move back to Afrihost.

Gaming latency's pretty terrible for me lately, especially Blizzard games.
Friend confirmed he's having the same woes..
 
Unable to connect to the Internet on VOX tonight, nothing working at all. Phone line working as normal.

Rebooted the router still nothing, Internet light on the router is off.

Eish. Sorry man. Also in Cape Town and I have no problems with my VOX accounts. All working hundreds.

Maybe others can confirm some issues??
 
Looks like it could be a Telkom issue, mom got an SMS to say fault identified in the area was resolved but there was no prior message.

Rebooted the router again but still the same. DSL light is all green but Internet light off.

Logged a fault with Telkom

You Tube generally has been fine for me here in PE tonight. Don't know if the fact I'm on Bolt-on only (not Fatpipe at all) has anything to do with it ? .. a different Vox platform, maybe ?

The progress bar moving along well enough on either 480p or 720p on 2.5Mbps line, whether at normal, 1.5x or 2x speeds.

Watched this a short while ago on 480p at 1.5x normal speed :

... the 60 frames / sec (on 720p) is the only issue, as the stream barely moves & sound seem to then lose sync with the picture, but I'd probably need to get 4Mbps or faster ADSL for that to be sorted out.

I contacted VOX via their app regarding slow speeds last week. They called me back 5 days later :mad:

Just switched back over, the ping seems fine now.
I would have appreciated a response, however.
cvanwie would have been all over this thread even if there was only one person complaining.

EDIT: 6:00 PM the connection drops, and comes back online with 500 ping.

The speed difference between vox and afrihost is scary.

Anyone know how to cancel account? I've sent 4 emails without any response. Support is non exsistent it seems...
