Vox Telecom Fatpipe

VOX down the tube again in CT.
I was getting a maximum of 100KBs streaming on VOX,
I suspected it may be the exchange so I switched to my Telkom account and the speed on the same stream shot up to 10MBs, my line speed.
Anyone else experiencing issues today?

I couldn't watch YouTube at all this morning, got around 100KB/s but it fixed itself within the hour.

Other than that no issues.

If it is not back to normal by monday I will call support.
I am happy to stick with Telkom for the weekend.

My internet at home seems to be really flaky, whenever it's windy it seems to just stop working and then start again. But how do I tell for sure that it's the line? And not Vox?

I have a modem in bridge modem connected to an Edgerouter X doing PPPoE.

Run this command in CMD:
Ping bras.afrihost.com -t 600
When the wind blows. Post the end snippet here. If it says you have more than 1% packet loss, or it's during the time it gets "flaky", then it's your line.

That IP is from your machine to OpenServe's termination point just before it reaches the ISP's network. It's the near equivalent of pinging your exchange like you used to be able to.
 
Has everyone else had a bump up in their upload?

Mine was 2.80mbps on my 40mbps line for years now and on Friday i noticed its been bumped up to 9.64mbps, tested the speed throughout the weekend and it remained at 9.64mbps

The has been no chatter about this anywhere here or social media I checked.
 
Whats the "limit per month" in the amount of data you can download during the 12-6am period before eyebrows are raised?

Been busy remving items from my 1TB onedrive account and have been doing it during those free hours.

I've been paying R129 for 400Gb for some time now...
