I was told mid to late October.
Hey Cape Town!
I have some news I'd like to share...
The fault we logged with Telkom has finally been internally escalated within Telkom for resolution. This fault is the high latency found in Cape Town on what seems to be limited to VDSL ready exchanges.
Keep your fingers crossed.
Internally escalated in Telkom just means someone finally forwarded the email to someone else![]()

You sure it isn't just IPC congestion on vox's side in CPT?
Weird that it only happens in Western Cape...
Nah, telkom is routing vox vdsl to the opposite ends of the city from the origin. I'm next to the Royal Cape golf course and telkom had me routing to Tygerberg... IPC issues show on the 2nd and 3rd hop... These issues are from the 4th hop

Gaming is out. Look at the latency on Vox, even to local servers like Telkom!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yeah I should move to Sunny Sasolburg.I just updated Battlefield and checked for you, all the maps you have in the screenshot have 30 or less ping my side.
Not so sunny with a giant Sasol factory right there. What region are you in, maybe we can get down to the bottom of your latency issue.Yeah I should move to Sunny Sasolburg.![]()
