Vox Telecom Fatpipe

Hi guys, is there any option in the portal to cancel a service.. I have a bolt on uncapped account I don't use. Have over 1 TB worth of data build up on the fatpipe 150 accounts.

I reckon ISPS want to make it annoying to cancel a service, but easy to create one.

Paying half price for a vox account is only good if you can actually use it.

/me switches back to Afrihost till Vox sorts out their issues in the Cape

Heya Vox.

Something not 'tralala' in vox world tonight. I'm on a 40meg vdsl line, speedtest showing NO issues at all, but my international download speed is appalling. Just took over a minute to download 5 meg file from the docker hub.

Anybody else experiencing it?

If you post the link I can test and see if it's you or the site you used.

Well, I don't know what the sites are, but I installed the latest flash update (20 megs), took about 20 mins to download, then the latest java update, I cancelled the update after 30 mins. On the docker side, I've only downloaded 24 out of the 134 megs. Been over 15 mins. I did a 'docker pull linuxserver/plex', so unsure of links. Overall speeds are sllooowww...

btw, here is my speedtest:
Retrieving speedtest.net configuration...
Retrieving speedtest.net server list...
Testing from Data Pro Business Online (197.245.158.61)...
Selecting best server based on latency...

Also in Cape Town on a 12 Meg line and getting maximum download speeds of 30KBs regardless of the site.
This is probably my last month with VOX, Afrihost is looking good again.
I even shied away from Frogfoot Fiber as they are now using VOX bandwidth.

Anyone know if Vox is now blocking incoming ports? I've got a few services running - and can only connect to them briefly, then it stops until I restart the router.

(things like my alarm)

Is VOX shaping / blocking ACEStreams? P2P streaming)

Last year I watched every F1 race in HD and BBC or BBC world News whenever I Liked.

Now I can't get anything without it constantly breaking up, losing sound or reporting no peers.

My colleagues in the UK have no problems and my friends who are still on Afrihost or WebAfrica have no problems.

Is my unshaped account shaped?
Is there no bandwith to stream evenings and weekends in Cape Town?
Is telkom shaping at a lower level or my exchange congested?

Anyone who uses aceplayer is it working for you on VOX on Any stream?

Is there something going on in Cape Town? I am getting on TeamSpeak 20-50% packetloss and losing connection for awhile. Playing Smite and get horrible delays, but I have 180ms. Wonder what is going on? And Streaming is also horrible at the moment.

Your best bet is to either call them or use the live chat on the Vox site.

Keep an eye on the following page as posted by myKey.

Public SAiX Noticeboard

Latest notice shows Western region on (027) 213 are affected. ETTR 5 hours.

Also note what MickeyD says

Those are not every single customer fault. It is where network issues have been identified.

Also regarding everyone's issues, am in the same boat, hope they fix whatever is causing slow access to common sites. A support agent gave me a test account and same experience. Issue is gone once i switch like others have mentioned.

Getting high latency to local game servers, and earlier was getting a constant 20% packet loss. This is happening to the rest of my team who also use Vox, from different locations in Durban.

High latency the last 2 nights playing BF4 aswell... Funny enough my Counter strike is perfectly fine and speed tests are normal... Its only Battlefield 4 :/

Anybody else having constant connection dips today? Even my clients on MPLS are having issues....
