VOX Telecoms - Samsung 1TB free data - performance?

hi all,

So i bought a samsung smart tv, not knowing at first that it came with a 1TB data voucher...

Anyone tested this performance? I just activated mine but still waiting on ADSL installation which is scheduled for this coming friday.

Is this throttled? I don't know much about this FatPipe that Vox runs...

Any opinions and feedback welcomed :)

Fat pipe is in my opinion one of if not the best capped product you can get for ADSL.
Everything works like a dream.

+1. I've been using a fat pipe account from the beginning of the month. So far it's been flawless and completely blows AH capped out of the water.

Hi, I know everyone thinks because its the "fatpipe" account that comes with the promo - it definitly is not the same experience that everyone is mentioning. I've had it for 2 weeks now, and can say that it consistently does not perform on my 10mb line. The max download speed I've gotten thus far is about 300kb on a 10mb. Also the browsing experience on web pages is extremely slow.

I've now switched to my old Afrihost 1GB free account and it is performing much better and consistently.

There is definitley some form of throttling going on with these 1tb Promo accounts.

I am going to log it with them for more info.

Dude. There's some firm of meltdown going on at vox. everything is in the ****ter. Bolton. Fat pipe. And not a peep out of their 'support' on here. Sad state of affairs.
