Hi guys,
I've recently started using Surfshark VPN and I have been testing regularly it by asking Google " where am I / What's my location?".
Initially it gives the correct answer depending what location I have set the VPN, ie. Spain, USA etc.
I noticed though after leaving it running for a while and ask the question again, it will give the correct answer to "whats my location? as being KZN, where I'm from.
When i check the ip address in Surfshark it still says USA or whatever and i see that it been connected for hours and I didn't lose the connection. Then when i go to other sites it shows the location that's stated in Surfshark.

So my only issue is Google knowing my location even when Surfshark is on. I'm worried that ISP's will know my location.

What can i do ?

Thanks, guys

For first time users of VPN, usually are not aware that you need to change your behaviour of online use completely. You need to turn off location services, block apps from accessing things like that. Use firefox, with cookie blockers, tracker blocking, etc and do not use Google in any way.

It's not just getting a VPN and all is fine, there is a few habits new users need to change
