Hi all, please advice, I am not sure what will work best and cheaper. I want to access documents at a remote site all the time while working from home. Do you recommend VPN or Cloud?

I also need backup software to back up only updated/modified files, please recommend.

Regards,

If it's just a few documents that you want to be able to update and edit, then Google drive/OneDrive/etc would be cheapest/easiest... what other requirements do you have?

If you need multiple people to work off the same doc's you can do a OneDrive/SharePoint solution.

Thanks, please recommend a backup solution.

You can have files stored at work/remote site, then use Zerotier/Talecale to create your own network, works well.
Been using Zerotier for months now.

Just out of interest are you using this in a business/corporate environment or is it a personal project?

Business Environment, Synology replication to another Synology at remove location.
Zerotier works a treat at Max line speed, I replicate around 40Gb every night easily.

I came a cross Zerotier a few months ago when I as looking for information on Zero Trust - they mention this in the security features but I don't see any docs on it. Good to know you're having a positive experience with it.
