Vuma Reach Phoenix Thread

Install was done on Monday but the access box on the road was not live as my PON light was flashing red. Came yesterday to sort out after numerous mails and failed phone calls. The tech did something and the PON light is now flashing green, it needs to stabilize and stop blinking then I know my line is active. Problem is, it was supposed to have stopped flashing 4 hours after he "sorted" it out but it's been like 16 hours now and it's still flashing. So waiting on that to be sorted out. Disappointing service from Vuma man.

That sucks when they're taking so long to sort out the issue. I see they're still working in Sunford, the trenches are closed but the main holes are being dug and filled again.

Ping to fortnite servers.

150ish ms.

Are we connecting to UAE servers or something? Ive seen it go to 140-130ms randomly

I received a call now from a guy called Beckham who works for Vumatel, he asked me if I'm interested in getting fibre at my house. I'm like WTF man, I already had an installation done on Monday. I explained the situation and he told me in not so many words that it is not his department but will try to get someone to assist. I noticed that with Vuma and while speaking to most of their workers, they do not want to take responsibility and keep passing the buck. Who ever plans on dealing with them, make sure they sort everything out in one go and good luck!

This is some BS

True bruh and then you come across as being an ****hole/difficult client for wanting to use the service that you actually paid for.

Hey guys,

How did Vumatel Reach consider phoenix?

Was it through interest shown by residents or from Vuma's initiative/research?

Thanks

Hi guys, so I thought I could use my Huawei b525 battery/power pack on the vumareach router during loadshedding. Not working at all
Any ideas guys on how to keep the router on during loadshedding?
Thanks

I recall someone stating there's a Vuma main office or something located in Phoenix, maybe you can gain some instant answers from there?
I got the office admin on whatsapp and she always tells me to use [email protected] as it escalates straight to their H/O. So not much assistance there. My problem is that they haven't acknowledged that I have indeed an account with them.

Afrinatic requested I send him my ONT fsan number so he may escalate, problem is I only knock off at 17:00 and can only send thru after 17:00. Which I am sure is the time Vuma closes.

I remember there was a lot of interest in phoenix. Then Vuma Reach reach out to some community members before installation to confirm the interest and a few representatives were chosen.

Hi man. You can look at a Ratel or Gizzu UPS for your router and ONT box

@AfriNatic. Sorry I don't know how to post pictures on private chat. So here is a pic of the underside of my ONT device, every tech person who came from Vuma's side always took a picture of the underneath, so I am sure they have copies of it on their end.
