Vuma Reach Phoenix Thread

Damn. I had to wait for a week! Let's hope yours gets sorted out soon. Vuma is really struggling to fulfil orders man. Dunno how many people read about their horror stories on FB and are scared to apply for fibre.
 
yeah the process has been a pain, im not happy with the workmanship.
 
Is there any way that I could view Netflix from other Geo locations? I tried using different VPNs but no luck, it seems Netflix has blocked both paid and free VPNs.

I was using nordvpn and it worked flawless, try one grey market nordvpn key at plati market. If you happy you can get an account at carb for cheap cheap.
 
Haha if all houses around me faced a similar issue I'd understand but I'm the single house with activation issues
I must've been lucky today then, down here in Belhar, Cape Town. Also in a VumaReach area. We went live Friday and my installation was done today. I did pre-order the beginning of March though.

Installation was scheduled for 15:30, but they came 15:00 and from the time of the knock on the door till activation took about 50 min. They said it will take up to 24 hours for activation, but as they were about to leave I told them the blinking light stop and it seems like I'm connected.

Hope it all goes well

That's an amazing turnaround time, i wish i could experience such service, for me its been 4 days now and I'm still waiting for activation

That is frustrating. I was watching this thread for a while and was hoping that when we went live, that I won't experience some of your guy's frustrations. So far its going well.

Hope yours does get activated soon.

Haha its too frustrating since my neighbors are seeing a similar turnaround time as you, i have faith in Afrihost so hopefully I'll be as joyful you guys ✌️
 
I have feedback from Vumatel.

Vuma Reach Sunford area orders are not activating after install.

The issue is with Vuma Noc and Vuma Dev working on a fix. The issue is affecting all ISPs and seems like there are around 45 or so orders stuck with different ISPs including us.

Ahh that's great news that Vuma acknowledges an issue! Its not all orders, a lot of Sunford guys in the thread are active so that's a weird bug/issue.
Any mention of an ETA on a fix?

There is no ETA given except for they arre working on the issue. It looks like a Vuma Dev issue that needs to be fixed.
