Vuma representation

Sadly, you have to deal with your ISP, you cannot contact Vuma unless you have inside connections.

ISPs simply shrug this off and say there is nothing they can do. It's a FNO problem. Pathetic.

It's all related to the Senderwood DFA pop. It's a wreck, and they have to rebuild a lot of that infrastructure.
thanks for info. does Vuma expect us to continue to pay while they rebuild ? again, if ever I have a choice, I would always go OpenServe over VUMA.

DFA are involved one way or another with most of Vumatels network, so as I say, it's unlikely due to them specifically. If you're in PE, that could be bursts of packet loss, either last mile or backhaul or longhaul.

Vumatel wouldn't get lit services from DFA due to traffic levels required. Longhaul on the other hand could play a role.
I guess it was DFA in the end.

Not Vuma, your ISP does.

Now see the level service. What did you have to do to get this information.

So asking my ISP for a refund, they will say it's not them, it's the FNO ... so it's a losing battle here - hence I want VUMA initiate the refund .. which will never happen.

your question about the info? Assuming the NWI screen? someone on our whatsapp group must have received it from one of their ISPs? Every time I asked about the NWI #, i got told they were not allowed to share it.
Obviously Vuma doesn't want this kind of info out in public, showing that they have downtime for over a week ...

They don't give a fck. The ISP is your final port of call, and they simply shrug and say What do you want from us except for the obvious?

Well, I'd have thought that they could out some pressure on the FNO to resolve issues as it's making their business look bad. But that is not the case. They don't give a schit.

Afrighost will mostly not even report FNO problems on their dashboard, and instead just not respond to queries until much later the problem is resolved, and then it's a pleasure we could help. lol

I guess it was DFA in the end.
Vumatel typically will build rings for redundancy using dark pairs, but it's also possible that these rings can be affected by a single pop.

As mentioned, this is speculation based on our experience with other DFA links terminating around Senderwood.

well since there is no transparency or honest feedback ever, this speculation is all we have.
