I discovered by accident that Vumatel is building networks outside Cape Town, Durban and Johannesburg quite by accident. Strangely it hasn't really featured in the news - unless I missed it.

Does anybody know what their short-term expansion plans are? Currently I see Polokwane, Pietermaritzburg, Vanderbijlpark, Port Elizabeth, East London, Bloemfontein, Mtunzini and Richardsbay on their coverage map.

It is only out of interest -- I am in Cape Town, already covered, but I was wondering whether we are getting so used to fibre that these rollouts are not making news anymore? (That might be a good thing :-) )

You are seeing this new 'coverage expansion' on their coverage maps due to their acquisition of SADV.

Still trying to figure out if that is all it is. No Polokwane coverage on the SADV website for example.

Did Richards Bay get SADV? That coverage was only recently updated though. I saw the the coverage pop up on Vumatel for Richards Bay but did not think it was SADV coverage though. Might have been maybe @pinball wizard would know if that was SADV coverage before.
