Hi all.
I have been a longtime Vumatel/Mweb client. I signed up to Mweb's fibre in 2018.
Since then, South Africa has had it's fair share of loadshedding. When the power goes off, even during Eskom's stage 6 last year our fiber has never skipped a beat.
Obviously I have a UPS put in, that powers the routers when the power goes out.
I also wonder, being the curious sort how Vumatel are able to keep their exchanges powered on backup, and survive repeated outages, without the batteries or whatever being depleted. From Stage 1, to the stage 6 we had, in which the lights were off 4 hours, our Fiber connection remained constant.
