Those things take long from my experience
I'm not sure how the ISP reserves or pays for these speed packages. I wonder if they could reserve x amount of 100Mbps lines and split those up for 70/70 and use the remainder and add it to the 20/20 packages to upgrade them to 50/50?Another mybb member suspected they are throttling the 100/100 to 50/50. Which I am also of the same opinion.
like how long....to downgrade?

damn lolAll my previous upgrade requests have required escalation![]()
Well according to the guy i was talking to... he mentioned i will receive an invoice and he is going to email me the new prices for the packages just now. once he does will send and forward u too. I want my discount lol. they want to pocket the difference for this month.Jip, just got my invoice as well from Vox. No mention of price or package changes. Just the same R899 for 20/20 line....
As far as I know Vox invoices you in advance, so this invoice is for July. So they are invoicing the old price for next month when Vumatel's reduced prices are already in effect (from 1 July). So yes, they are getting the invoices out so they get people's money before they release the new prices.Well according to the guy i was talking to... he mentioned i will receive an invoice and he is going to email me the new prices for the packages just now. once he does will send and forward u too. I just got word from their agent and he informed me that VOX will be announcing the price reductions and speed migrations by end of day today or tomorrow. He mentioned that i will be quoted on the new package.I am going to wait till the last moment. Surely you have to initiate a downgrade to get the price difference... how long does that take on Vox?Well according to the guy i was talking to... he mentioned i will receive an invoice and he is going to email me the new prices for the packages just now. once he does will send and forward u too. Most ISPs. That's why they require a calendar month's notice before cancellation...As far as I know Vox invoices you in advance, so this invoice is for July. I actually think their sweet spot is the 20,50 & 70, i.e where they make the most profit for the least cost, I think supporting higher speeds would require them to invest heavily. The risk they are taking is that as time goes on more and more consumers are going to require the higher speeds, so sooner later they going to have to play in that space or start losing customers.Yep - great price that. Unfortunately I need more than 50/50mbps and will thus be moving to Afrihost 200/200 @ R1147 (as MTS want R1360 for the same - which is a decent chunk of difference)...

Did they tell you that? It doesn't sound right to me.The interesting part is that the above reduced prices are NEW SELLING prices. So only NEW customers will get the reduced prices. Existing customers will NOT receive the reduction in price.
