Vumatel Price change

I smell sabotage lol ...
Smaller ISP, tend to be more flexible, i.e. owner managed, able to make quicker decisions.

Bigger ISP, more structures, more employees and accountants, the real reason there is a delay, accountants have do accounting, and see how they can let company increase profits or somehow benefit from the Vumatel price reductions.

Accountants: the reason we have biscuit wheels and one reverse light in our cars.

Oh i get it... so nothing to do but wait.

Yeah, would be nice if Link Africa/Vodacom would follow (as they sold their FTTH subscribers to Vuma). I was forced to use them (as they were the only provider in my area for a long time) and I refuse to use openserv as they are Telkom and they can drop dead. (Took me 9 months to cancel my ADSL, plus having to get Wendy Knowler involved - they couldn't provide the service at new house)

So nothing yet from the big guys?
Until Vumatel themselves have officially made the announcement I don't think Mybroadband or ISPs will release much info.

MTS was surprisingly quick, although they don't seem to do the gigabit lines so that may be a reason why.

The extra upload is just so nice to have.
I don't use upload at all always been on the lowest upload possible to save some green Nelsons so it's a meh in my books more happy about the R40 saving  but overall happy thanks Cool Ideas

Also just got an email from Cool Ideas... 100/100 drops from 1199 to 1099 from 1st of July. :)

Typically the price won't change but it's a permanent package and will move to 1000/200. There is also a 1000/500 package being introduced.
Whoohoo! I would really like to know all the new prices because I am itching to upgrade further from my 100/100 (was 100/10) line! Nevermind not needing it, I wants it!

Gigawave: my 50/5 becomes 50/50 (for R949 p/m)

Or I can upgrade:

100/100 R1145 p/m
200/200 R1395 p/m
1000/200 R1499 p/m
1000/500 R2295 p/m

Meh - the increase in upload speed is nice, but I was hoping the 50/50 package would drop in price to R700-odd as suggested by the initial posts. Maybe time to ISP-hop after other ISP's respond.
