My son is located in Byanston in Johannesburg and recently applied for a new service via Vox on Vumatel.

There is an existing fibre line in the house already from the previous owner.

It is now a month later and still no connectivity, with both Vox and Vumatel playing he said / she said!

First the line is not released by Vumatel according to Vox.
Now; We are trying to figure out the problem with the order as it was placed under the AE network where it is actually a GPON network by the ISP.

Is Vumatel not Active Ethernet?

Someone or both need to get their act together.

Vumatel has a dual network one is AE the other GPON The line needs to be released by the previous ISP but if you can provide the rental agreement of your son being the new tenant, there should be no issue with Vumatel just pulling the line from the old ISP

Why are you wasting your time with Vox in the first place?
