You need a link to realise that the majority of people that are going to be attending are not going to be local? Cheapest ticket costs R140....

a link that they'll have a problem with the vuvuzela? so far fifa are still staging matches which means people are still watching and only a few are complaining.

The international travellers are not here yet, but they can hear that dreadful noise on TV . There have been numerous posts in this thread w.r.t. to foreigners having a problem with the vuvuzela. Or haven't you been reading the whole thread? Of course FIFA will continue staging matches, they can't just cancel or else there'd probably be a riot.

Haha, there are more than enough links to foreign forums in this very thread. I think that much is clear.

From somebody who attended the game(goal.com World Cup Editor)
The atmosphere in the earlier Spain–Iraq match was certainly loud. The second half was amazing with constant singing, dancing, clapping and chatting. It was much more enjoyable than a fairly turgid game. The locals are well known for their supporting ability. Bloemfontein Celtic may not get the biggest crowds in the South African Premier League but their fans are some of the best in the country.

The players don't like it either.

On a side note am I the only one annoyed by this? Danny Jordaan: "Our fans blow their vuvuzelas before the match. Maybe because they know that they might not be celebrating afterwards."
Um, way to be cynical about your own team. Sure we all make fan of Bafana ourselves, but don't do it publicly. It's embarrassing.

Did he really say that? Wow.

Not surprised the players also hate it.

He should have said it does distract from the game not that it doesn't then Fifa might have actually done something about it...

1. The vuvuzela will not be banned
2. The vuvuzela will not be banned

Whether local or those "international" spectators like it or hate it. Its hear to stay and its part of 2010.

Now moving along.

Goal.com, that bastion of excellent sporting news

My point was this is a foreigner, not just any foreigner, the guy is the World Cup editor of the biggest football website in the world(more visitors than even fifa.com) and he attended a match. He didnt have a problem with it.

My main complaint is that most of the people who complain(the ones i've spoken to)
a)hardly ever attend local matches
b)have no interest in local soccer.

The fact that theres no local soccer threads here tells you how interested in the local game myBB members are.

Taking the Vuvuzela away will be a HUGE mistake. Why even bother even hosting it here then?
