Same price range as the Hilux's busy waiting getting communication from them about everything except the dam price...
Knowing VW they will add "local is lekker" sticker even though it is not built here and then add 10-15% on to the price of its closest competitor. Sorted.
lol, too true. It is a nice bakkie tho.
Launch is in November - was meant to be next month, but there have been some undisclosed delays. The dealer-level introduction & training (at Gerotek) is currently under way.
Pricing has not been communicated explicitly, but as has been mentioned it will be very close to the higher-end D4D Hiluxes. At launch, only the 2.0BiTDI - that's 120kW and 400Nm - will be available, in 2x4 and 4x4 double-cab variants. Other motors, including a 2.0T petrol unit, and more models variants, as well as single-cabs, will follow. And yes, word from those who have experienced it is that it drives waaaaaaaaay better than a Toyota.![]()
About bloody time you showed up in this thread. (And thanks for the info).
- I just noticed how, many, commas, I, used, in, that, one, sentence.
PRICES

I don't get it, why are people making such a big fuss over yet another over priced bakkie? What am I missing here?
