Hi there. Something I have picked up with the Jetta....... Need your ideas in terms of what the cause may be.......

Occasionally when accelerating there is a flat spot. If I back off and accelerate again it sometimes stays or goes away. Any theories????!!!!

A friend of mine has the issue with a Golf 4 1.6. Turned out to be a faulty MAF sensor. It might be worth looking into?

Pics will come on we'd. Got some work to do on the car. 1st replace the radio. Still got the original vw tape deck and 6 disc cd shuttle. (Anyone want to buy it.?) 2nd replace the hood in the car which is sagging and left passenger door lining. 3rd fix the MAF issue. Any tips on where to get the special spray to clean the sensor?

The MAF sensor was quite dirty! It was easy to strip out and clean. It has made a world of difference with the car. Thanks for all the advice.

Just polished up the headlights to get rid of the "fogged up" appearance. Anyone else done this before? The results were quite good!
