So i finally settled on a 2003 Vw jetta 1.8T with 180000km It has been owned by him since day 1 so there are no surprises. Any tips on customizing it? The headlights are a bit fogged up. Any comments?

"rubbing compound" should work
 
make sure water pump has been changed recently to the one with the metal impellar blades..
IIRC there was an issue with the stock plastic one.

lovely car that, if you have a proper service history then you should be okay with regards to the turbo.

software is probably your best option, like previous posters mentioned, there are a variety of options available, for specifics the VW forum will be of great help. Some tuning houses in durban include, revo,stealth,CPI, these are your more popular choices for the right reasons. good luck and happy boosting.

I'm tuned with them, how is it false, or even funny?
There are loads of underground tuners that most people never heard of.
