I get up at 4:15 to be out the door at like 4:50 in order to meet the training group at the BP in time (well, actually 4:14 as I can't handle that odd number in setting my alarm, like the volume on the TV must always be an even number, I digress...) and the alarm going off is waking up the Chinese and causing a bit of disharmony in the home.

What way is there to be woken up without an alarm going off? I tried the vibrate on the smart watch thing, but I get irritated with the watch during the night and take it off in my sleep.

What other options are there?

Other than using Bose earpods or a smart watch or similiar, try drinking plenty of water before climbing into bed and repeat to yourself numerous times before falling asleep, "I must wake up at 4:14am".

Just turn on sleep mode so it doesn't bug you?

I'm curious, what's up with the even/odd number thing?

Have you tried a wake up light? Makro used to sell these Qualitel branded ones that were also a BT speaker; but anyhow, I never expected being woken up by a light to be so effective and it is a whole less jarring than having that GD iphone alarm make your ears bleed in the morning. It starts out dim roughly 45 mins before you wake up and gradually gets brighter until its time to wake up. I prefer it to an alarm.

That sounds weird. I'm look into that. Thanks.

Wake up to a blowjob?

Yeah, but I have no control over that and it changes regularly, so it doesn't make me feel like a SIM when their house gets dirty.

It's like setting the cruise control in the car. I'll set it to 120 or 122, but never 121.

You could also try a sonic alarm clock;

should you not wish to be disturbing others in the room, you could just use the bed shaker. The blue sonic clock is great for any person who wants to be woken up on-time.

Loud fan. Assuming the Chinese is a toddler or baby. Keep the fan on straight through the night. They get used to a constant noise and dont get woken by alarms. At least it holds true in our home.

I bought a cheap BlueTooth radio alarm clock from TakeAlot that was actually great. Not very loud, but you could set it to tune into the radio in the morning, and it would gradually increase the volume. It was great.

What I use now is a Sony bluetooth radio thing, which is far more expensive and powerful, but doesn't have the simple trick of allowing volume to increase gradually. It makes a difference.

This allows me to sleep with my phone outside the room.
