Yeah, but I have no control over that and it changes regularly, so it doesn't make me feel like a SIM when their house gets dirty.

It's like setting the cruise control in the car. I'll set it to 120 or 122, but never 121.

What if one day, they update your car at a service and the intervals change to odd numbers?

Cycling. Gotta leave at 4:50 to ride to the BP to meet the chaingang at 5:15. (it's 15km away, and I like to have a couple of minutes in hand in case of puncture or whatever)

Nice, is it road or mountain biking?

I tried the vibrate on the smart watch thing, but I get irritated with the watch during the night and take it off in my sleep.

I used to use my watch for sleep tracking, and tried an app that would wake you up when you were in light sleep - did seem to work actually, but also found the watch annoying to sleep with. Can't sleep with a watch on.

You can buy another one, man up, ride hard, wake up later, not disturb the household, not buy a new alarm clock - problem solved :)
Not a chance.

I am looking at a gravel bike at the moment though. Only thing holding me back is knowing I'll spend 90% of the time riding it on the road.

Interestingly, i like odd numbers. I set my aircon to 21 or 23.

As for waking up I need an alarm, but then again i have weird habits. i sometimes go to bed around 2-3am and wake up at 9am. Sleep has become very erratic for me during the pandemic especially when lockdown started.

I'm getting back into a routine now as i go to the office 3x a week. But it takes me forever to fall asleep at night, no cure for that (short of pills).

It's always a good idea having two bikes on hand, a spare one just in case.

My dad went out a while back, and bought 2 Silverback Stratos's - he's a serious rider and would probably go into shock if he missed a day :)

I have two road bikes. I had another but sold it along with the mtb. Two many bikes. Oh, and I have a tandem.

That's the problem with road, you need to spend double the time on the seat to get the same workout..

If you live in CPT you're blessed with mountain and off-raod trails, I don't think you get that easily in the concrete jungle that is JHB.
