We are looking for a senior PHP developer to work with us on a project by project basis, with the possibility of future full time employment. The compensation for this position is ultimately dependent upon the candidate's experience and other qualifications.

Each project will consist of designing and implementing a new feature or enhancement.

You must be self-motivated, enjoy learning and developing innovative solutions and experience with Vagrant, Git, Postgres, Elasticsearch, Nginx, Python, Redis, Laravel 3, queues, GIS, or analytics is a plus.

Got skills like PHP, SQL, Javascript (JQuery, lodash), Linux, and the ability to work in a fast paced development environment? Our work schedules are flexible within reason, and you're given the option of working from home as-long-as-the-work-gets-done.

We're currently working out of a 2050 studio while we look for suitible space to work in (we're actually looking for an open plan house in town if you know if anything :P) but we love fast internet, public transport, good beer, coffee and food so we'll always be close to those places!

Sound good? Awesome! :)

Nice to see a fresh, current trending post, as apposed to the usual stiff-lipped recruitment stuff. This type of work environment / job description is the only way forward in my opinion, innovation and boundary-pushing flourish with some freedom and autonomy.

Best of luck with your search and your (rather interesting sounding) project :)

Thank you patrict!

We believe the same thing. Happy people are the best when you need to solve something outside the box.

Please spread the word to anyone you know who might be wanting to ditch the corporate shackles and come do some cool **** with us :)

Have to agree! A refreshing post. Took a look at http://ekaya.com and it's pretty cool

LOL, I would apply but I forgot how to make a projectile missile from a bic pen, a toothpick and a lighter.

You cant do it, its a trick question - you must have a stick of gum or it won't work...

Lol...

At just shy of a thousand views have you guys seen much action on this? We are all wondering who's going to build your bombs :p
