[Wanted] DVI-D To VGA Active Converter

Why do you want one like that? Why not get the smaller one? Usually ships for free with pc screens.

They can also be bought seperately, for less than the item the OP quoted. And not all monitors and GPU's ship with them, though a fair number do ship with it.

That was what I was trying to get at. Don't you know anyone who bought a pc screen recently. They may have one laying around or possibly still in the box that it came in.

I'm connecting a PC to a Lenovo ThinkCentre (which doubles as a display by a push of a button)

So the DSUB connects to the DSUB and the other end which is DVI-D connects to the 1060 graphics card.
I've tried to do this via a HDMI to DISPLAY PORT but it didn't work.

No it does not

All new graphics cards cannot sent analog signals anymore, which was used with cheap dvi to vag converts.

Hence the OP needs an active converter to use a vga screen on a new card.
