I want to go over to the dark side. Do you know someone who id selling one?

2014 and newer preferably.

OK, I got one. Having scoffed at Subaru owners for decades, I am disappointed in myself for not doing it sooner.
Buy as new as you can afford, and dont, Don't, DON'T fiddle with the mechanicals. That way it is as dependable as other cars, and servicing cost on par with other AWD vehicles. I just had the biggest service possible done ( A + B+ C rolled into one) and it was R14k. The grin factor outshines the frown factor when filling up.

I know this is not a discussion thread. Having owned three Foresters (2 x XS and 1 x Diesel), they are great cars, but owning one is like joining a cult. You can easily trade it in on another Subaru, but getting out is expensive. The XT's are thirsty but super cool, though.

Wait until a head gasket goes (and it will), engine out job.

But first, getting the dual fuel conversion. Them WMI.

This is true**

Driving like I get petrol and tyres for free gets me 310km on 60 liters.
Driving like like a polite road user to Sandton office and back gets me 500km on that 60 liters
Highway cruise control at 110kmh makes calculated range 800km

It really has a wide range of consumption.
