WAR - Which servers?

So what servers are you all planing on playing on?

For the first time ever.. I'm finally going to go UK based, granted I've already got a US based account as well. But I'm getting to old to stay up until 6 am in the morning and still make it to work an hour later.

Heard from a few friends who played WoW on UK based servers and they seemed to have much better play hours, so I thought I'd give them a try.

I must admit the last few times I have jumped onto an SA based TS or Vent I have nearly died laughing though. Same as I guess most would jumping on to a US based vent for the first time due to all the funny accents. Even though I am South African, I've just been so accustomed to the accents over the last 15+ years and hear good old Souf Afrikan just sound odd???

Anyway, if you guys will have me.. I'd like to join up with some of you in WAR, so where will you all be
 
Great Idea. We ashould all play on the same server and same faction.

How about we put it to a vote ?

Ok so I'll roll on the "Bad" side. Corrupted Human tank maybe ? still not 100% sure :o
 
I'm sure killing each other will happen over time anyway :)

Been trying to activate my headstart key but having problems. Will see if I can sort it out once the client has finished downloading

I'll have to get mine from BT games, seems like I'll have to wait till the 24th :(

Its about the game play. One of my friends who has known me for a long while, has been playing in beta and told me that as soon as he tried out a witch hunter he knew right away I would fall in love with it.

Unfortunately they are going Destruction.. So I thought I might as well try Order on the EU servers.. but you never know

I got the EXE downloaded so far. Downloading the first 3 bin files at home, and have set my work pc to download the last 3 bin files. Should have all the files by 3 am tomorrow.. then of course its just a matter of getting them all back home tomorrow night to install.

I can try burn a copy onto DVD's though and see if we can try get you a copy before the 24th?

From SA??? when is lag not a problem :D

Only thing I am looking forward to is I have heard that the PVP is not just over in 20 secs and almost all classes are viable. I'm hoping this will help with our high pings to the servers. Hopefully some people already done with the downloading can confirm?

Im tired of playing wow pvp with a bunch of untrained monkeys for faction mates. So hopefully im on one that does ok.


From some prelim looking around there are some ballance issues, with some ppl bitching about class balance, Dunno if there is any validity to that tho.

example - one post says "omg nerf whitch hunters" another says "buff witch hunters"

so its all pretty confusing. I guess ill wait and see for myself.

While I am sure that even though WAR has been in development for a number of years and they have tried their best to balance things out, you will always get some imbalance.

Until we can all actually see though, I think its the typical rock/paper/scissor's situation where each class has another class that they are designed to destory. You will find the one class that is destoryed by witch hunters are crying for an early nerf, and the witch hunters who are destoryed by another class are the ones crying for a buff?

From the mechanics it should be simple.. keep them at ranged, and they are dead. Let them get close though and your toast... pretty much the same as rogues in WoW
 
The things that sold me to Warhammer vs WoW

1. There is no CC in PvP ... No stunlock, no fear, no Hybernate, no sheep.... damn it !!!
Can't wait.
2. The mechanics of the game means that you need to fight as a group to win, no more AFK honor grinding and noobs just doing their own crap in AV.

This is going to be Awesome :)

I hope the game doesn't let me down. But I feel it will rock from what I have read ;)
