Warhammer?

Another week delay on WAR in SA so I decided FK it.

Had a nice chat with a mate of mine on WoW last night and he says he'll stay with WoW for the time being. Think I'll do the same and stick it out with him.

WAR and EA games aint getting a cent out of me for this stupid delays :o

So I'll be playing my lock to 70 :p
 
Blame SA, import hassles, etc. Not EA/Mythic. Everywhere else in the civilized world you can pick it up off a shelf right now.

Having the greatest fun I had in a while playing this lock.

Just last night a Rogue jump'd me from behing again. Succubus was out, CC'd him ran max range, Dot'd him full, Death coil followed by a fear + Drain life and he was dead :D

Yeah dude atleast check it out for 30 day by then WOTLK is almost out if you dont like it.
i am playing Team fortress to take a break from wow dont really care if warhammer is good or not bit i dont like to hear how good it is or how bad it is from others alot of mixed previews out there wana check it out myself.
Wow will always be there they even planing on nother expansion.
 
...and WAR wasn't even delayed another week in the end, it was at BTGames exactly on the date they said......talk about jumping the gun?
 
Several friends and I have pretty much stopped playing wow altogether for war.

It definitely needs some work and polish, but not nearly as buggy as people make out. I can see how it might not be for everyone though. It's not as fluid or simple to just jump into as wow is, and new mmo players could easily be daunted.

But the pvp is really really fun. It's not a 'grind' as wow pvp felt, and way more atmospheric.

I'm in no rush for wotlk at this rate.
 
Playing war the whole weekend, after about 22 hours i say wow is cooler better and more fun, but i will still play war till this month subs run out and then probably give it away (wont be able to sell it once WOTLK comes out)

WAR is definitely not everyone's type of game. The PvE content in WAR gets less and less towards the end as focus become more on RvR/PvP. So if you do like the typical PvE-grind gear up, kill a boss, gear-up then WoW is better.From lvl 10 leveling really slows down and even questing isn't as lucrative as jumping into a scenario in terms of xp gains.

WAR does have a very "jump in and play" (aka casual) feeling to it, and i've heard of 3-4 hour sieges, but it's not like a Raid-farming mindset though (i.e. 4 days a week from 7-11). You simply can't predict a siege and how long it will take, even though it's the exact same zone.

I get the feeling people still try to play WAR like they do WoW, and i read by lvl 25ish you can not just run around doing quests anymore, you have to PvP/RvR/Scenario to gain xp.

My guess is, WAR actually competes more with the GuildWars playerbase than the WoW playerbase. I think the players living in Battlegrounds and Arenas might look at WAR and feel a need to move across, but the guys that are having fun grinding through Kara/Gruul/SSC/TK/BT most probably won't be too excited with WAR....unless they were bored with WoW to begin with.

Exactly why I'm going to try it out. Maybe when WotLK ships i'll be tempted to do the whole PVE grind thing again. But TBH, Warcraft's PVP (BG, not so much Arena) was always the real reason I enjoyed the game, and raiding was merely 'something to do with the mates' in between farming AV and whatnot. If Warhammer allows me to enjoy BG-style PVP WITH a good group of friends and get well rewarded for it, then all the better.

I doubt WAR will come close to beating WoW, though. It's just not really much of a carebear friendly game, and we all know the reason 11 million people play WoW is that the vast majority of them are casual carebears. Even hardcore 25man raiding isn't the real reason WoW is huge, but rather farming Karazahn for the X-millionith time, and when Wrath hands out all raids on a 10man ezmode platter all the slacker lootwhores will be like pigs rolling in crap, loving it.

Just a quick note to point out that 5/5 is NOT a "perfect score." It means "Outstanding," no more, no less. No game is perfect but if you never give out the highest end of a rating scale unless something is perfect, then 4.5 or whatever is one step lower becomes the best possible rating. Some people think there will never be a MMO that beats Blizzard and just wont give anything else the light of day.I feel soz for em.Blizzard make good games i am a WOW fan myself personaly i like it more.

My first impresion after instaling it is this game suck not gone compare to wow after a full day of playing it with my budie on vent my opnion was changed.
Maybe its will suck later and ill get tired of it like i did of wow who know but i gotta tell you dont just dis this game.it is from thesame people that brougth Ultima online.

I heard some bad and good thing about this game too thats why i got to see it for myself.Diffrent people like difrent things.

Ill still check out WOTLK but its still just a expansion on a al ready played to death game WOW is probably the one game i put most of my time in.

Im not sure if its the same people that made Ultima....it is defintely the same people that made Dark Age of Camelot though

And so far Warhammer kicks ass but it will need alot to be able to do what wow did just remember wow is 4 years old and still popular.

That goes for in game support on wow is awesome.
Atm Warhammer still in chaos with support.

But the game play is awesome me and my budie topped dps and kills in BG with dwarf engineers sniping :) and turrets.

I am still gone check WOTLK out maybe one month wow one Warhammer will see how things go.
Wow does get boring after 1 year of one game only.

I preordered WOTLK from BT and Fallout 3 :)
I am checking out everything.
But if you want a change from wow warhammer is a refreshing change but i am still low lvl will see how things go later.

Dwarf engineers just OP :)
One massive sniping range and since almost everyone plays distruction not order theres alot to kill.

We really feel like noobs here we were both pawned by Orc pvp player yesterday thought he was a NPC after we pulled 3 mobs i just though wow this npc hits hard not even a champion mob then i noticed the pvp icon after we both died :)
