ATTENTION ALL METER TAXI DRIVERS!!!

We have tolerated this blood sucking animal, called UBER, for a while now its time we put this to an end.
On a number of occasions meter taxis have been impounded or issued ridiculous fines just for an expired permit or lack of it thereof and other silly and minor offenses, but UBER has been tolerated, and permitted to operate without permits.

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH, the last time we tried to convey our intolerance and concerns peacefully but our plea, clearly fell on deaf ears.
This time around we bring in a different strategy, a strategy that won independence for nations, a strategy used by our fellow quantum owners, that strategy is
VIOLENCE/WAR.

From Monday the 24th of April, we are not going to gather and raise placards, we bring violence to the table, any Uber car you see, permit or no permit.

BURN
BREAK
SHOOT
SMASH

ASSAULT THE DRIVERS

ASSAULT THE PASSENGERS
(If you are an Uber client and you know what's good for you, stay away from Uber from Monday the 24th of April)

Let's unite our forces and claim our industry back, we can not sit back and watch one single individual come and take our food from our table.

METER TAXIS FOREVER

I received the messages from SAPS.
"This is being circulated. There is no cause for alarm. Steps have been taken to prepare in the event that this may happen, so please just note."

Sounds totally fake to me as well..

And threatening to assault uber drivers and passengers, what happens when one of the assaulters gets shot by a legitimate firearm owner who fears for his life? Then what?

Police have been keeping a dozen vehicles in our office park in Sandton for 2 or more weeks already. We are 2 blocks from the train station. Apparently they are there for when the taxis go berserk against Uber.

My car is going in tomorrow and I'm forced to Uber home. Else I have to wait for a metered taxi for hours.

Uber should just tell their drivers to get out and greet their passengers like they are meeting an old friend.

Was at Sandton city yesterday when the taxi drivers and Uber drivers in turn started throwing stones at each other.

I don't think it's anything different to what's been happening between the two in the past, so no cause for concern.

Viva Uber viva!

Down with uneducated thugs in their metered taxis!

Even if true, how will metered taxi drivers know the difference?

Planning on taking an Uber next week to Lusitoland and back, where the vehicle will blend with a sea of other cars dropping off and picking up people.

Wouldn't call it fake - there's been discrimination (read: intimidation and violence) from taxi associations against Uber drivers over the past few months, specifically in JHB and PTA. CPT Uber drivers haven't experienced anything to date.

Last uber I took in Centurion, the driver had to take precautions picking us up and dropping us off and we got to see first hand how the taxi drivers pelted stones at the car. Poor guy is just trying to make a living and the thugs just don't understand that the typical demographic that'll take an Uber, won't necessarily take a taxi.
