the SAPS don't, people send messages around claiming its from the SAPS.


why didn't they post this on their website or twitter account or on their website ? they post updates 7 days a week on twitter if it was legit it would be a pinned post or their website.


did you get this from the SAPS (and the name of the officer please) or did you get this from a friend who claims he got it from the SAPS?
i would like to query them on twitter they normally respond quite quickly.

I get there is real crap happening but If your response is even if its fake im posting just in case please just STFU! you are just scare mongering.
 
I use Uber X minimum twice a day.

Common cars are the Toyota Corolla and Nissan Almera.
But I've been in a Polo Vivo, Jetta, Kia Rio, Chevy Aveo.

All sedan models.

Just came through from our SAPS person on CPF whatapp group as well
 
Oh well, I will be taking an Uber tomorrow and leave my car at home.

Lets see what happens when a meter taxi try to stop and assault us, should be fun.
 
I might take a uber ride tomorrow just for fun to piss off metered taxi drivers

Long list of security cluster agencies and units involved and probably hotspots and such, wont repost it due to opsec obviously.
 
You forgot to add that we have to forward to 1000 people or an angel loses its wings.

I call BS on these kinds of messages.
 
Well, BS message or not, there are nevertheless more than a couple of police vehicles here in West Street this morning, and a couple of Uber drivers have complained about being attacked by the Sandton Gautrain station already today.

You haven't answered did you get this from the SAPS or the message says it's from the SAPS so you assumed its from them?
you notice how this message is only sent via social media or whatsap no new agencies?

BTW on radio cops said they did not send out this message they however have dispatched officers to certain areas (sandton CBD was mentioned as there there was a scuffle between some of the metered taxis and uber drivers on the weekend). SO yes we have had issues with them and should be cautious but this message still remains a scare mongering unless someone can verify its source or take responsibility for sending it out.
