Was Eskom really sabotaged?

I've no idea what you're on about. All I was saying is that the COO of Eskom reported the sabotage to our president, he didn't just make it up. Then you guys all jump up and down about how he's not your president, how now I'm to blame for this mess, as if my vote was worth more than yours. **** off.
Lol, as you were...

For the ANC supporters here (or those too lazy to read)

n 2001, Eskom was named the Financial Times Power Company of the Year at the Global Energy Awards Ceremony in New York.

It was described as "providing the world’s lowest-cost electricity, while at the same time making superior technological innovations, increasing transmission system reliability, and developing economic, efficient and safe methods for combustion of low-grade coal."

Nice one ANC, who would have thought...

Zuma. The giggling President of SA. Giggling in Parliament. Chief thief.

Now that he is granted his day(s) in court.. he is I'll.......

Useless coward.

Zuma and this ANC top eschelon were aware what of where this country is headed.

Ramaphosa knew. Ramaphosa never tried to stop it. He had already made money.

Ramaphosa is just another ANC goon. President my ass. Not an honorable bone in him.

Unity unity unity unity of stealing in the ANC.

Ramaphosa is a joke. Pravin Gordan is also a useless clown at this point.

The ANC always seems to place the interests of the party before the country.

I don't understand how any tax paying citizen still votes for the ANC at this point.

It is like Battered Woman Syndrome.

It was just lucky that Pres. Ramapawpaw was not shocked by the sabotage revelation.

As luck would have it, load shedding started 5 minutes before the announcement...

ANC voters in the ANC voter base don't understand the principles of voting. As far as they are concerned all is good.

They actually don't want change. Rubbish and litter and whatever bone the ANC throws at them they are happy with. It's just the way they are.

I know cause I'm right here in the middle of it. Eastern Cape. I see and hear all.

No sleep. They were partying until 7AM this morning. Sunday.

I'm not an expert on how power plants operate (and I'm guessing neither are you) so there's no point making claims here that can't be verified either way. Take it up with the COO of Eskom. The president relies on him to report the situation.
Ok, so you were there when he reported it?

Your president

If you believe anything your party says then you deserve them.

Of course a promise of no load shedding during the December period because factory's are closed so no heavy burden. But they make out as if the problem is being solved.
Which articles are you reading?

According to Eskom announcement loadshedding is suspended for the long weekend but could change at a moment's notice.

Sometimes in life people have to learn the hard way. It's same people who are xenophobic, who turn a blind eye to the real hardships and starvation experienced by fellow African refugees. Karma will sort that out.

The article at the start of this thread is about how unlikely the sabotage story is. It points out that the only possible instrument that could have played a role is a Pyrometer.
It sketches a scenario that is plausible. The instrument is scarce not enough of them are deployed and they are routinely disconnected and moved around.
That should be enough for all of us to accept and clearly to me anyway places the sabotage excuse where it belongs in the fantasy bin.

Death will sort that out.

That's what the aparteid government left them, ie before their mismanagement had enough momentum to strangle Eskom. You'll also notice no mention of the word transformation in that award..

When we initially went into stage 2 load shedding, we lost 10 units. Five of the breakdowns were boiler tube leaks but two of them were two units at Tutuka Power Station where we had the sabotage.
Jan Oberholzer, COO - Eskom

The two units that we lost due to breakdowns were at Tutuka Power Station where we have identified sabotage
Jan Oberholzer, COO - Eskom

The sabotage has obviously been done by an individual or individuals with full knowledge of the station.
