Was Eskom really sabotaged?

Which articles are you reading?

According to Eskom announcement loadshedding is suspended for the long weekend but could change at a moment's notice.

Your president runjoupoosaf promised from 17th Dec to the 13th Jan no loadshedding

I'm sick and tired of people defending thieves. I can deal with useless... I can't deal with useless and thieves. I work hard. I don't steal.

The only sabotage at Eskom is corruption.

It is more than corruption. As a cake it is maladministration (incl. corruption), they have bad business practices and is generally mismanagement and then you add government policies as the cherry. Now you have to look at who is eating this cake… you have unions, politicians and tenders (incl. ‘malicious’ suppliers) all empowered through cronyism and nepotism. Corruption through empowerment which you can’t call corruption. The system is sabotaged because it is built on a government pyramid scheme which is cycled through a change in leadership structures whether it is a union, political party or tender (which also happens to keep the old boys in the piggy business), and let’s not ignore the buddy system.

The schitery going down at Eskom, all other SEOs and government are all a connected cadre pigsty. The sabotage happens to be a culture some people partake in and it won't change unless a drastic change in people is happening.

You nailed it. It's like a new culture
Stealing is cool :( :( :(

These cultures are nothing new. Like with any entity culture, in order to maintain that culture, you need people who are obedient with that culture or who may be groomed within that culture. Families, businesses, they all their own unique culture. Our problem is that we have a very bad culture breeding within national governance.

I've no idea what you're on about. All I was saying is that the COO of Eskom reported the sabotage to our president, he didn't just make it up. Then you guys all jump up and down about how he's not your president, how now I'm to blame for this mess, as if my vote was worth more than yours. **** off.
I know enough to know what's technically possible. I'm no expert but not entirely innocent of the workings of a power plant.

I worked at a power station at the tender age of 16 for around 18 months (at the lowliest level) - till today, more than 50 years later, I can still draw a schematic diagram of the full workings of that facility. It just takes some curiosity and ingenuity to find out information.

It doesn't take much to put a spanner in the works, if I may use the pun.

True,it is not all that difficult to understand. Instruments monitor the processes. So does a human being walking around with a clipboard and a check sheet checking gauges and dials. Instrumentation extends crucial alarms through to a control room.
But it does not completely replace manual inspections, especially if as eskom has already admitted, not all power generation chains are fully connected to instruments.
So, the sabotage claims remain a stretch till other possible causes are eliminated.

The way you stated it originally suggested that you were in the room with them, looking at your posts it would not surprise me in the least.

This about sums it up for me and everyone else who has been living with their eyes open the past 20 years
