The fact that 4 are down (WACS, ACE, MainOne and SAT–3) suggests a fault on a peering point onshore.

The power to the submarine repeaters failed. Nothing to do with peering.Interesting theory, but I find that rather hard to believe. Why would 4 major cables all peer at the same location, which has a limited internet presence?

I Dunno.My question is do all 4 have contact with the shore at all? Or is the break in deep water, which may be harder to repair (weeks/months).
