Waze navigation app went crazy

Hi

Who is using waze navigation app? Mine went crazy! On it's own app language was changed to other language and when I change it back to English, it changed again! Even the voices was changed to other languages!! I Restarted the app cleaned memory of app and reinstalled it, now I can't log in with Google account. Anyone else experience the same issue?

I have used Waze since, almost, its inception, and I haven't had any issues with the app. It has long been my go-to and neither Google nor Here have been able to convince me otherwise. Waze is the best navigation app. For every other 'direction' I use Locus Map.

Did you by chance use a VPN on your device or network?

Mines doing the same. Switching between UK and American voices in the same sentence. I think Waze is having identity issues.

I am trying to replicate this issue now. Whilst typing this and using a VPN, Google's own localisation is picking my VPN's location over mine.

About two weeks ago, I had a similar issue with google maps. Different voice, but within a few minutes the preferred voice returned.

This is interesting. I am curious whether "Voice typing" and Google Assistant could overwrite Waze's voice option? Say it is the potential issue, then it is an app issue.

Mine also changed to Russian text or something over the weekend. Fixed itself after a while.
