Hey there,

Just interested to hear of experiences of these accounts... they seem to be the cheapest i could find however there isn't much to make a decision on.

Any experience good, medium or bad is much appreciated.

had this for a month, the account was awesome, the speed was awesome, ftp/http downloads were averaging on 900-1000KB/s
didnt test p2p.

even the tech support and other feedback was cool, but i cancelled my account because their upstream provider cybersmart enforced soft caps, at +-30GB, then i got throttled to 200KB/s , which is still better than most other ISP's, like afrihosts 14kbps dial up modem speeds....
but after the throttling I had lots of packet loss and timeouts, and online gaming was useless afterwards, but my friend who also got throttled, didn't have any issues.

so to sum it up, yep, i like wazzup, i left my adsl circuit with them, but i dont like cybersmart who supply their bandwidth (which they in turn get from IS)

Support is quite slow. They've got a pair of pick-em-up cheap support guys sitting there. If you email today, don't expect a reply until next week blaming Telkom.
 
i bought a bunch of games on steam, and also subscribed to a few beta tests, in total i did about 80gb, then half way through the month, they were forced to enforced the throttling by cybersmart.
so by then i already reached the soft uncapped capples cap of 30gb.

Having the exact same problem with my isp ! service is great but their supplier "cybersmart" are terrible grrr! :(
 
Lol. you can get more than that on a 384 line.

The thing is you can get a capped 50GB for the same price as that uncapped... so it seems like a bit of a waste if they cap the bandwidth so low.
 
yeah seems as if cybersmart are selling to small startup isp's but then ruining their product by enforcing these terrible terms and conditions including shaping and caps on premium accounts. time to get another supplier methinks ...

I found their support to be very fast & efficient.
 
Ye for that price you can get 100GB capped from other ISP's at full speed.
