We tested a Skone RFID blocking wallet

Can someone explain the real benefit behind tap-and-go... It saves you what.. 3 seconds.. when you still have to wait for the cashier to finish at the till anyways.
All this to compromise security or rather your mind worrying about card security.

MyBroadband talks about how easy it is to track the transaction.. to do what.. see a picture of n person tapping your card with no realistic way to identify that person.

The real issue is not so much drive-vy swipes but rather when your card gets stolen.
Benefits of tap and go.
The cashier not touching your card as well as its definitely quicker even if its a few seconds imagine a big queue and everone taps you would be out the store quicker.

And the security who cares what the person looks like the point of sale can be tracked.
You cant buy a credit card machine at checkers.

So you wana hold the store responsible for someone tapping a card, when there is no way for a store to verify anything.

Most places lets you insert and remove the card yourself.

And who you want to track.. so a person stole your card, went to shop a few items at checkers.. their cctv shows a suspect.. how you want to identify that suspect, unless he is already in the system. Besides.. even if you do identify the suspect.. finding them is another hurdle. Trust me I work in da cctv/security industry..

just be serious with your comments and stop thinking facial recognition is a miracle.

Tap n go transactions are insured if you bank with a proper bank. You dont even need to check cctv footage to see who tapped your card, just log a claim with your bank. and baam you got your money back, What is the fuss about?

Haven't you seen 24 or any other spy show they can use facial recognition from a satellite.
I'm sure the banks have special satellite capabilities to chase a few hundred Rand stolen via tap and go which is most likely insured as well.
