MyBroadband tested two brands of USB rechargeable AA lithium batteries and found that they offer good value compared to traditional batteries.

USB rechargeable AA lithium batteries make sense for frequent use. They recharge fast, hold voltage well, and reduce waste over time. They cost more upfront, but testing shows they perform consistently in both low and high drain devices. For remotes, cameras, and controllers, they are a practical upgrade over disposables.

I tried a set of Beston Lithium batteries (the ones without the built in charger) and they were useless. Ended up going back to NiMH.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but these aren't lithium? Product description says Ni-Mh and Ni-Cd charging. No mention of lithium. So not sure whether this includes lithium and the above as well. Doesn't look like the same stuff to me.

This is the problem, most of these brands are unheard of. Over long term use - no idea how these things will perform

And NiMH battery chemistry is generally better for small electronics that the AA and AAA size is made for.
