Web Africa - 1 June. Going uncapped?

Seems like something big is going to happen at WA on 1 June.

My conspiracy theory - uncapped for home users. A while back lots of 100 gigs DL+ accounts given out; 18th May DL+ for whole day (to test their network for uncapped and see how they coped).

I know many might disagree, but I hope they do not go this route. 18 May did not go well at all and speeds were poor for many of us - imagine what that would be like if suddenly a whole lot more people are online with uncapped accounts. Not a happy thought for me.

I must say I hope that they would simply increase some of their accounts to higher caps. At present 130 gigs a month is almost enough for me and I have felt almost uncapped (except for the restriction of DL+ usage times). I have had issues with WA, but on the whole do think they are one of the better ISP's and considering my account with them, I feel I do have a good deal

So what do I hope for - a bigger cap and some extra hours for DL+ (maybe Saturday and Sunday nights running from 18:00 to 06:00. :)

What do you think?
 
I just hope they make the Redafrica special part of their standard offering. I also agree that providing uncapped will result in a lower quality service. I can't think of a single ISP whose quality of service remained the same after they launched home uncapped products.

@Fulton: Nice theory there, could happen, might not, maybe, could be? Not sure... let's see what happens on the 1st June. Only a few days to go - no need for any concern though, I see you've raised a few points about uncapped on FB too.

I hope it;s uncapped but with Openweb Gold Pricing. I really think now that MWEB is making Uncapped too cheap and quality is suffering.
 
Hoping for extended Download Plus hours - cant seem to finish my 100GB with just 6 hours a day on a 1MB line
 
I think it has something to do with Fridays. :) Maybe DL+ over weekends as Fulton17 suggested.

Yeah, i agree with you. i hope Webafrica don't go uncapped. I am happy with their 130GB package. the uncapped is not advisable atm.
 
I have a few ideas that Webafrica maybe can impliment.

1) DL+ from friday evening from 7pm until 6am monday morning on weekends and holidays.
2) Maybe increase the 30GB to 50GB during normal hours during the week and decrease the DL+ cap to 80GB.
3) Keep the 100GB for DL+ from 12am to 6am during the week.

+1 - add another 4 concurrent connections.
 
Not uncapped, my guess would be extended D+ hours and/or usage.

Keep 100 GB DL+ with extended hours and 50 GB anytime cap. That would suit me just fine :)

Oh and maybe give this account some higher priorities like the home pro account.
