Web Africa ADSL general feedback

Openweb is supplying business bandwidth for their home uncapped users.

Hey Friends

Over the weekend, we will assign most of the business bandwidth over to consumer packages, so it should be much better than currently.

What's WA going to do to compensate for the issues their home uncapped users are experiencing?

I wasn't telling you to move users to other accounts, I was asking if WA is doing anything to help out customers suffering issues. It was a simple question. :)

Anyone else notice how snappy and short-tempered Jeff has become lately? And not just with those of us needling him, but with customers as well? Are they overworking you at WA, Jeff? :p

I've become short tempered? Really? Not that I've noticed....
Anyway, it's been a really busy day - so today my posts have been a little shorter and to the point.

We've done a lot already to sort our customers out. As mentioned in other threads, we've acquired additional capacity on our fail-over links and been in constant communication with everyone - on a lot of platforms :)

Additional capacity for our fail-over international links have been brought online, so improved international experiences should be improved. Let us know :)
The repair ship is still en route, unfortunately a fix won't be able to be implemented tonight, hopefully tomorrow!

Try playing the Ball, not the man... I'd like to see you keep a sense of humour when faced with a barrage of complaints day-in and day-out... Jeff may be the representative here, but he's not responsible for some idiot cutting a cable in half with his tractor/ship. I'm certain you think you're very funny with your chirps, but actually you're not. There are a lot of us affected by what happened, but few stoop as low as you to get personal, and then try and hide it behind emoticons. Give the guy a break - try be an iBurst customer and see how that pans out. They don't even bother replying.
Keep up the good work, Jeff - I appreciate it, for one.

Weird. I still can't play. I can start a game but about 20 seconds later disconnects.

Uh-huh. I disagree with you. I didn't intend it as a personal attack, so I'm sorry that you misinterpreted my post. :)

If you'd bothered to check my posting history in this thread, you'd see that I have on numerous occasions actually commended Jeff for everything he does here. I'm a bit foggy on the exact details, but in a PM conversation with him once I said something along the lines of him seeming to be the only WA employee who seems to care about doing his/her job properly.

I also don't recall blaming WA or Jeff for the Sat3 issues. :)

All I want to see happen is that WA retake it's mantle of being the premier ISP in SA, instead of it just being empty claims.

Hmm... How come when I want to cancel my uncapped account I get error screen? WAJeff?

Edit: I submitted a support ticket. I assume this account will be active till end of July 2012?

What error do you receive?
No reported issues with the sites, however I have seen some issues with Google Analytics communication from SA - US.

Support would be able to help though :)
