Web Africa ADSL general feedback

Tonight I am flying along at 165 KB/s; feels like I am on a capped accounts that is on one or two stars. What I should be able to DL in an hour is scheduled to take over 6 hours

Sent a ticket to support on Saturday; received an automated response and nothing since then

Poor speeds and no support :(

Hi Fulton17,

From what time does this issue happen?

Hi Fulton17,

From what time does this issue happen?

Every time I have posted, it has been happening so generally after 19:00 but before 20:30

On another note - no response from support bar to say they have heard nothing from me so closing things - I responded but no surprises as I am still waiting for a response from support. Maybe you can intervene and help?

Thanks

WebAfrica guy I am sending you a PM I have raised this many times before and yet I still get the debit order email.

Hi Fulton17,

From what time does this issue happen?

20:45 and my speeds are in the region of 155 KB/s.

This used to happen once in a blue moon, now it is a daily occurrence

Please can this be addressed WA Helper? Thank you

Oh wait, now it has dropped :( to 130 KB/s

poor performance on the network this evening. 500 ping to LoL servers and 15% packet loss...

I also had pretty bad latencies late evening (21:00'ish) to the Quake Live server the past 2-3 days, however speedtest.net is fine.

Well started a DL about at about 19:30 and my speeds were 330 KB/s, so rebooted my router and speeds are much better in the 900 KB/s region, so close to full line speed

It seems like every night before I DL I must reboot my router. I never used to have to do this so a bit annoying, but could be a lot worse.

My speeds during DL+ time was also down, so there still is something not 100%

Generally when u have to reset ur modem each time, indicates that there could be noise on ur line and but resetting it, u technically are also resetting ur port (although Im almost sure ur modem needs to be off for 10mins for this to happen). What I suggest is check to see if u have a filter on ur line and maybe replace that.

Steam downloads crawling at 100kb/s . The shaping is unreal! What is the point of business uncapped if you still get horribly shaped when you are even in the green zone? I know it's shaping because it starts at about 8am and stops around the afternoon.

Sigh

Hi,

Is this issue still ongoing so I can get our guys to call you? Please PM me your account details.

I get the same problem in the evening.
Start downloading and get 200k or so.
Reset modem and then full speed.
Happens every night.

I thought it was my line...

Sometimes I need two reboots.

I have another account with a different isp which runs at full speed with no resets

How do you get a hold of someone at WA? I can't be expected to hold for 20 mins. Online support also useless.

Thanks Bedford.

Do have the filter but know they have a limited lifespan so must check it

I have a 10 meg line and my DL speeds just now were hovering at 200 KB/s, so 20% of line speed and this on a capped account.

Have rebooted my router once; time to try again.

After second reset my DL is going along at about 240 KB/s :(:(

Switch over to my back up ISP and onto 1.0 MB/s straight away and cruising

So the fault is with WA. Am I being shaped to death? What are they doing?

WA Helper please can this be looked into as this show the fault is with you guys? Thank you

Last few days been very wavy up and down with speeds, otherwise past few weeks been really good.

My download speeds via http are pathetic.
All videos on youtube are buffering.

I am on a capped account and have a 4mb line. I shouldnt be having these issues.
